Outdoor Activities
EagleCrest Activities for Addiction Treatment
Things like outside meetings (NA, AA), bowling, nature walks (when the weather’s nice), and monthly outings make a big difference.
Even something as simple as an onsite bonfire can help people bond and feel part of a community. These moments aren’t just fun—they’re a way to build confidence, practice sober living, and make recovery feel more rewarding.
Healing Hand of Nature
Onsite Activities
What We Offer
We provide a range of outdoor experiences designed to foster resilience and reflection, while helping our clients stay active and present during treatment.
Right here onsite, you’ll find:
- Beaver Lake shoreline and dock fishing
- Stairs into the lake for swimming, including cold plunges during the winter months
- Bonfires under the stars with games, conversation, and time to reflect
- Casual hangouts in nature—sometimes with coffee, always with community
Other Onsite Options
Recreation
The detoxification process can feel stressful and isolating for some. With this in mind, EagleCrest Recovery offers multiple recreational activities to create community and encourage stimulation. These include such activities as darts, horseshoes, basketball, board games, pet therapy, yoga and more.
Exercise
Our small, onsite gym brings recovery into a physical realm for individuals in our program. Each client is offered gym time and given the tools to begin incorporating a healthy outlook into their incorporated lifestyle. This is a key to any lasting recovery.
Cooking Classes
Life skills are integral to individuals looking to re-engage with society in a healthy manner. Our cooking class offers practical lessons, such as specific recipes, as well as overall wellness. Clients learn about nutrition, meal planning, shopping, and meal prep and cooking for an overarching understanding of nutritional wellness.
Outdoor Excursions
Local Trips for Adventure Treatment
The solitary act of outdoor excursions offers peace and deep connection. This holistic treatment activity engages clients on multiple levels, including physical exercise, mindful presence, and engagement with nature. It’s a healing experience that allows new perspectives and assists in whole-life renewal.
