Frequently asked questions for new clients’ family and friends

Can I send mail to my loved one while they are at EagleCrest Recovery?

Yes, mail is welcome and often deeply appreciated. Please allow a few days after admission before sending anything, as the intake process may limit access at first. Clients can receive mail addressed to P.O. Box 1728 Bentonville 72712. Please make sure your loved one is clearly indicated.

Is there a period of no contact?

In most cases, there is a “peaceful period” during early treatment. This time allows your loved one to settle in, focus on stabilization, and begin recovery without outside distractions. The length can vary but is typically around 5-7 days. But anyone listed on client consents may call and get a status of their loved one 24×7.

Can I send pictures or care packages?

Yes, printed photos (no Polaroids or anything suggestive) are allowed and can be a meaningful comfort. We recommend simple, non-framed prints. For care packages, please check with our staff first, as certain items may not be permitted for safety reasons.

Will my loved one need money for anything?

EagleCrest provides all basic necessities. However, clients may want a small amount of money for optional snacks or personal hygiene items. We recommend sending funds through approved methods only—please call us to ask about the safest and most convenient way to do that.

What’s the best way to support someone in treatment?

The most helpful thing you can do is stay patient, stay encouraging, and respect the process. Your loved one is doing hard work. Even a simple letter can mean the world. If you have concerns or need guidance on how to be supportive, our staff is happy to help.
